"Kalyady Tsars (Christmas Kings)" of Semezhava village Kopyl district, Minsk region

On January 13, 2014 Semezhava village traditionally has celebrated Christmas Eve by the ceremony "Kalyady Tsars". This year's festival was not so crowded, because it had  on Monday, a working day, which obviously was not very convenient for tourists and visitors. But this fact did not stop mass media, which was quite a lot.

In the central square, villagers organized a fair where everybody could  taste  traditional meal. Really, local cuisine is sufficiently varied and tasty.

This year's ceremony was performed by two groups of Tsars , consisting mainly of local youth, the guys who work on the local farm, as well as students. There was fun and comfortable. And though the snow was extremely small, all villagers and their guests who came to Semezhava at this time were glad to Happy New year, winter, which finally came to Belarus, have discussed plans for the future and wished each other good luck and prosperity.
